Thailand Regional Office

Churchill Pryce ’s office in Bangkok was established in 1997 to
provide a wide range of financial advisory services.
Because of the financial crisis gripping South East
Asia at the time, our initial focus was on corporate
restructure.
Our success in these endeavours was recognised by independent
agencies which repeatedly ranked us Number One or Number
Two in the value of debt restructured and number of
cases completed in 1999 and 2000 (these league tables
are available upon request).
Further recognition came in 2001 when the Thai Asset
Management Corporation (TAMC) selected Churchill Pryce
as Financial Advisor for debt restructuring and business
reorganisation concerning the debts assumed by the government
from Thai banks under the Thaksin Government’s restructure
plan for banking system. We are particularly proud of
this appointment and proud that we could play a significant
role assisting in the recovery of the Thai economy.
With the start of recovery in the Thai economy the recapitalization
of companies became increasingly important and Churchill Pryce
expanded our operations in mergers and acquisitions,
private placements and finding joint venture partners.
By this time the client base of Churchill Pryce had
expanded to include leading multi-national companies
doing business in South East Asia. Our work with leading
companies from the West, Japan and South Korea remains
the core of our merchant banking business.
